1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using SchedBlitz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding contract between you and SchedBlitz.

You must be at least 18 years old to use our service, or have parental or guardian consent if you are between 16 and 18 years old. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our platform.

2. Service Description

SchedBlitz is a multi-tenant appointment booking platform provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Our platform enables service-based businesses to:

  • Manage appointment scheduling and calendars
  • Accept online bookings from clients
  • Process payments for appointments
  • Send automated email and SMS notifications
  • Manage staff schedules and availability
  • Access business analytics and reporting

Our service supports various business types including barbershops, beauty salons, car washes, and other service providers.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use SchedBlitz, you must create an account by providing:

  • A valid email address
  • A secure password
  • Business information (for business owners)
  • Profile information (for staff members)

Email verification is mandatory for account activation. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Account types include: Business Owner (full access to business management), Staff Member (access to personal schedule and assigned features), and Client (booking and appointment management).

You must not share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access to your account.

4. User Obligations

When using SchedBlitz, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes

Prohibited Activities

You must not engage in any of the following:

  • Making fraudulent bookings or transactions
  • Sending spam, harassment, or abusive communications
  • Attempting unauthorized access to the platform or other users' accounts
  • Misusing payment systems or processing fraudulent payments
  • Violating intellectual property rights of SchedBlitz or third parties
  • Interfering with platform security or performance
  • Using automated systems to scrape or harvest data

Business owners are responsible for the conduct of their staff members using the platform.

5. Subscription Plans and Pricing

SchedBlitz offers tiered subscription plans with varying features and limits. Plans are billed on a monthly recurring basis.

  • Free Trial: Limited features and staff capacity for businesses to evaluate the platform.
  • Starter Plan: Basic features suitable for small businesses.
  • Professional Plan: Advanced features with higher staff limits.
  • Enterprise Plan: Full feature set with unlimited staff and priority support.

Subscription prices are displayed during signup and in your account settings. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice via email.

Each plan includes a monthly SMS credit allowance. Additional SMS credits can be purchased as add-ons.

6. Payment Terms

Payment processing for subscriptions and appointments is handled through Stripe.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed automatically on a monthly recurring basis
  • Payment methods accepted: credit cards and debit cards
  • Currency: GBP, USD, or EUR based on your business location
  • First charge occurs upon subscription activation

Failed Payments

  • If a payment fails, you will be notified via email
  • You have a grace period to update your payment method
  • After 2 failed payment attempts, your account may be suspended
  • Suspended accounts have limited functionality until payment is resolved

Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period, but no refund will be issued for unused time.

Taxes

You are responsible for all applicable taxes associated with your subscription and appointment payments. Prices displayed do not include applicable taxes unless explicitly stated.

7. Cancellation and Termination

User-Initiated Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial months of service
  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
  • Certain data may be retained in anonymized form for legal compliance (see Privacy Policy)

Platform-Initiated Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for the following reasons:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Fraudulent activity or payment disputes
  • Non-payment of subscription fees after grace period
  • Legal requirements or court orders
  • Prolonged inactivity (after notice)

For non-urgent terminations, we will provide 30 days notice. In cases of fraud, abuse, or legal requirements, termination may be immediate.

8. Intellectual Property

SchedBlitz Ownership: All intellectual property rights in the SchedBlitz platform, including software, design, trademarks, and documentation, are owned by SchedBlitz. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the platform.

User Data Ownership: You retain ownership of all business data, customer information, and content you upload to the platform.

License Grants: You grant SchedBlitz a license to process and store your data as necessary to provide the service. You also grant us permission to display your business information on public booking pages and mini-websites.

Restrictions: You may not redistribute, resell, or create derivative works based on the SchedBlitz platform.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

Your use of SchedBlitz is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

Key points include:

  • We are committed to GDPR compliance
  • You have rights to access, rectify, erase, and export your data
  • We implement industry-standard security measures
  • We will notify you of any data breaches that may affect you

10. Service Availability and Modifications

Service Availability: We strive to provide reliable service with reasonable uptime. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Scheduled Maintenance: We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible. We will minimize disruption to your service.

Feature Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features with reasonable notice to users.

Service Discontinuation: If we decide to discontinue the service entirely, we will provide 90 days advance notice and assist with data export.

11. Liability Limitations

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCHEDBLITZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities
  • Business interruption or loss of data
  • Third-party actions or service failures (including Stripe, email providers, SMS providers)
  • Unauthorized access resulting from user's failure to secure their account

Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of SchedBlitz shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Exceptions: Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death/personal injury caused by our negligence.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SchedBlitz and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms of Service
  • Your use of the platform
  • Your business operations and services provided to clients
  • Third-party claims related to your content or business practices
  • Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

13. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Informal Resolution: Before initiating formal proceedings, please contact our support team to attempt to resolve disputes informally.

Mediation: If informal resolution fails, we encourage mediation before resorting to litigation.

Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Third-Party Services

SchedBlitz integrates with third-party services to provide full functionality:

  • Stripe: Payment processing for appointments and subscriptions
  • Resend: Email delivery for notifications
  • SMS Works: SMS message delivery

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service. SchedBlitz is not responsible for third-party service failures, outages, or data handling practices.

15. Appointment Booking Terms

Cancellation Policies: Business owners set their own appointment cancellation policies. Clients are bound by the cancellation policy displayed at the time of booking.

No-Show Policy: Business owners may implement no-show policies and penalties at their discretion.

Payment Terms: Businesses can require full payment or deposit at booking time. Payment terms are set by the business owner.

Refund Policies: Refund policies for appointments are set by individual businesses, subject to consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

Client Responsibilities: Clients are responsible for attending scheduled appointments or canceling within the allowed timeframe.

16. SMS and Email Communications

Transactional Messages: By using SchedBlitz, you consent to receive transactional emails and SMS messages including:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Booking cancellation notices
  • Payment receipts and invoices
  • Account security notifications

Marketing Communications: Marketing emails and SMS messages require explicit opt-in consent. You may opt out at any time.

SMS Rates: Standard SMS rates from your mobile carrier may apply for text messages you receive.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes:

  • The version number and last updated date will be updated at the top of this page
  • Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance
  • Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
  • If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may cancel your subscription

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SchedBlitz regarding your use of the platform. These terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
